Bridging the gap between your passion and your purpose is critical!
I believe in my heart of hearts that everyone has a true calling and a divine purpose. I also believe that it is so important for us to find out what we were born to do. I understand that we have a universal purpose, which is to glorify God, but we also have a divine purpose or destiny.
Many people have no idea what it means to discover their purpose and therefore are skeptical and suspecting when presented with the idea. The mere definition of the word implies action with a result. The definition of purpose means… something set up as an object or end to be attained, an intention, resolution or determination.
It’s So Important Because, When You Discover Your Purpose…
1. You will wake up every morning excited about what you do and about your cause
2. You will never feel like what you do is work
3. You will have an amazing sense of accomplishment everyday
4. You feel valued and purposeful on a consistent basis
5. You could do what you do as work and never get paid for it because you love what you do
6. You gain a tremendous amount of satisfaction and you know that you are making a difference.
In reference to your passion, Oprah Winfrey says “You’ve got to follow your passion. You’ve got to figure out what it is you love–who you really are. And have the courage to do that. I believe that the only courage anybody ever needs is the courage to follow your own dream.”
In order to live life to its fullest, you must discover your purpose and live it out. My goal is to help as many people as I can to discover their purpose through following their passion and bridging the gap between the two. T.D. Jakes said “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.”
Stop being afraid and start moving towards doing what you were born to do.
It’s important because…”No matter what happens, no matter how far you seem to be away from where you want to be, never stop believing that you will somehow make it. Have an unrelenting belief that things will work out, that the long road has a purpose, that the things that you desire may not happen today, but they will happen. Persist and persevere, your desired path remains possible” – Marc & Angel Hack
